  Which Community should I join?

WebRing offers thousands of Communities. You can choose from a broad Community (the All Music ring, for example), or from a highly specific niche Community (the LA Jazz Guitarist ring, for example). Use the WebRing Directory or the Search Box located at the top of every page to start exploring the scores of available rings. When seeking a Community to join, keep these questions in mind:

  • What's your web site about? Identify your site's primary goal - sell Chihuahuas to people in Texas, announce events in the Tri-State area, provide tips on model railroading - then, use that primary goal to drive your search for a Community.
  • Does the Community contain sites of the same quality as yours? Quality can mean a lot of different things. Visit the Community sites and scan them for both match content and web design elements. Assess whether or not you want to be in the same Community as those sites.
  • Is there a Community for an association, organization, community to which you belong? WebRing has rings specifically intended for groups such as the American Quarterhorse Association (AQHA), Advanced Scientific Health (ASH), scores of Freemason groups, and much more. Also, remember to search for your specific real-life community (Las Vegas, for example).
