NavBar Placement
The NavBar enables your web site to be an active member of WebRing communities (rings) and helps to drive traffic TO your website as well as help you earn when you send traffic to WebRing. Through cooperation among community members traffic is shared, increasing easch members overall traffic.
Follow these simple steps to maximize the NavBar's impact on your web site traffic and earnings:
- Place the NavBar in a prominent place on your most important page (it's the page that visitors will see when they get to your site - so think about where you want them to arrive).
- Keep in mind that visitors have little patience to "hunt" for information they are looking for, therefore WebRing recommends that you do not place your code on links pages or entry pages.
- Visitors will simply go somewhere else resulting in a missed opportunity for you.
- Prominent places for the NavBar include the top of the page, bottom of the page, or in side links.
- If you have multiple pages that cover different topics you want maximize your traffic for each page. WebRing recommends that you register each URL separately and place unique navigation code on each page, then connect those pages to communities related to each topic. This will work uch better than registering one page and applying to many different rings because the focus is greater with distinct pages.
- Placing the navigation code in a prominent place will also increase your earnings. Check out our generous
