Members, whether they have site(s) in a ring or not, can elect to suppress advertising while viewing WebRing served pages. Members can elect to have ads suppressed PERMANENTLY with a contribution of $5 or more. This means that all contribution amounts (once a $5 level has been reached) can be used for site/Ring promotion, or just support of WebRing operations, rather than for ad suppression. To us at WebRing this makes more sense than charging members a recurring fee.

Members that have not achieved a $5 contribution level, or earned $5 as a ring manager featuring sites, can still suppress ads the established rate of $1 per month. When your credit level reaches $5 your ad suppression will become permanent!

If you are interested in participating then go to edit your account information (Account Settings link at the top of most WebRing pages if your are logged into your account) and check the 'Suppress Ads' box. At the start of each month your account will be charged the $1.00 fee and advertising will be suppressed for that month. If you have already contributed at least $5 then the ad suppression is FREE and your account will not be assessed. If you signup in the middle of a month the amount will be prorated according to the number of days left in the month.

Conventional mail (checks and money orders accepted) WebRing will absorb PayPal service fees for amounts of $6 and over.
