Most Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions, or questions related to the page you just left:
| You may see a a membership in your View ring sites list that, when you try to edit, returns an "Unauthorized Access" or "Ring Does Not Exist" error message. More about the individual message you've received is below. Instructions for handling the situation follow.
- Unauthorized Access
-
The membership no longer exists but for some reason, most likely an update was not performed due to a server being offline during the update operation - this is rare but does happen, your account was not updated properly.
- Ring Does Not Exist
-
The membership actually no longer exists because the manager deleted the ring and as in the situation described above your account was not updated properly. It's even possible that the NavBar for that ring appears active with full navigation commands (which don't work). It is possible that you will receive "RDNE" errors for pending or suspended memberships, as well as active. Since the ring was deleted while your membership still existed in some form, the membership still remains on your View ring sites list, but when you attempt to manage it, you see the "ring does not exist" error message.
Whether you've encounted a UA, RDNE, or both, the process is the same, you need to have your account purged of any invalid entries. Log in and read the Member Resources & Technical Support Forum post on UA/RDNE errors. You must be logged in to be able to proceed. Instructions for having these purged are on that page, please read it carefully.
WebRing Support requests that a situation this easy to solve be handled in our Forum. Please do not contact WebRing Support for UA/RDNE memberships.
