Find in this WebRing sites pertaining to all aspects of the life, works and times of the incredibly modern novelist Jane Austen.  Pictured:  Jane (December 16, 1775 -1817) in an 1869 engraving, based on a sketch by Cassandra Austen, from the frontispiece of James Edward Austen-Leigh's, Memoir of Jane Austen, London 1870; Austen-Leigh (1798 - 1874) being her younger half-brother, not to be confused with her two elder brothers, one named James and the other named Edward.

Pride and Prejudice (9 Sites, 304 Hits) 08/04/1998
Untitled document

Find in this ring all manner of websites pertaining, in a personal, academic or commercial way, to Jane Austen's 1813 novel, Pride and Prejudice, the 1895 edition thereof being the source of the illustrations, by C.E. Brock (1870 – 1938), on this page and on the NavBar.  Miss Austen lived from December 16, 1775 to July 18, 1817 and thus never got to see these illustrations.  Nor, needless to say, was she ever exposed to (nor could hardly imagine) the film and television adaptations of her work, those also being represented in this WebRing.
