American Foundation Arabian Horses (6 Sites, 80 Hits) 05/10/2009
Untitled document

Arabian Horses originally imported into North America were characteristic of the desert horse -- prized for their hardiness, substance, versatility, stamina, soundness, athletic ability and intelligence, without sacrifice of beauty and presence. The goal is to preserve and promote these qualities valued by the early breeders of Arabian horses in America and to ensure that horses with those same attributes will be available for future generations. This webring has been created for those who breed, own, enjoy, support and admire the Arabian horses whose bloodlines have been in the United States since before 1960 - the horses which originated the Arabian Horse Registry.

Find in this ring sites pertaining to every aspect of the wonderfully mild Arabian horse, known for its endurance, its arched neck and unique facial shape, the length of its body and its desert origins (the bedouins who first bred the Arabian often protected their horses, especially the mares, from theft and the elements, by bringing them into their tents to sleep at night).  Pictured:  a 2006 photo by Wikimedia Commons member Trescastillos, of an Arabian stallion, with Egyptian bloodlines, named Vashara Chamal.
